getting started

It’s 11:30pm on a Saturday night, and I am on my computer in my apartment. I’d usually be out with friends, like I have been the last couple nights, but I’d rather stay in and get started on things. I resigned from my previous company yesterday, and feel like I now have the opportunity to pursue what I’m truly passionate about.

I’m searching for a new career. I don’t want to do things the “normal” way – I wouldn’t consider myself a normal person. I believe there is always a better way to do things, a newer mousetrap, something more efficient. I also don’t see most “normal” people enjoying what they do on a daily basis.

I’ve decided to use Christina Lohman’s book, “6 Steps To Savvy” as a model for how to move to the next stage in my life. Her and I have worked together on some projects in the past, and I’m really excited to get going on this. I read through her book this afternoon and it just about knocked me off my couch. I think she has a pretty good idea on what it takes to get places in life, so I’m going to blog about what it’s like to follow her ideas. Step by step. I’ll be going through her activities, the workbook, everything she has in there. My hope is that I can help other people get where they want to go in life by showing them what I’m doing with mine.

Hello world. Let’s do this.
